At Little Robins we run a number of services that families can avail of depending on their childcare needs. Our passionate team along with our warm and friendly home away from home environment means parents can rest assured that their child/children are getting the best care, help and support possible.

Our 'Breakfast Club' opens at 7a.m. Monday to Friday for ages 4 -12. Children can avail of a healthy breakfast when they arrive at the centre and morning activities are available to children who wish to participate. Alternatively, children can relax in the library/quiet area before our fully insured staff drop them off on time at their designated school.

Our 'Preschool' is open at 9a.m. until 12a.m. Monday to Friday for children aged between 2½ and 5 years. Our free ECCE preschool, (starting in September 2017), is open to children who are the legal required age of 3.
At Little Robins Childcare we offer a play based approach to learning and development in our ECCE setting.

Examples of the types of play in our setting:
• Role Play - Toys, props and dress-up are available to allow the children to recreate different scenes, e.g. home corner, shop, restaurant, post office, bank, school, etc...etc....
• Construction Play - Lego, Stickle bricks, K'Nex and larger building blocks are available for children to use their imagination and build whatever they like.
• Creative Play - During creative play times children will have access to a wide range of creative materials, e.g. paint, brushes, sponges, play-dough, clay, collage materials, sand, crayons, markers, chalk, glitter, glue, etc...
• All the children's artwork will be saved in individual scrapbooks for parents to take home at the end of the year.
• Physical Play - Children will be given the opportunity to avail of outdoor play in our garden during this time and will be encouraged with large outdoor equipment, balls, hoops, wheeled toys, hop-scotch, skipping ropes, etc....

Benefits of our ECCE Preschool sessions:
Children will be given the opportunity to make new friends and develop strong relationships in a home away from home setting. They will become aware of their feelings and how to respect and understand that others may have different feelings to them. They will be confident, independent and respect themselves, others and the environment. The children in our care will always be entitled to make decisions and choices regarding their own learning and development. Children are educated about the importance of making healthy choices and to demonstrate positive attitudes towards nutrition, hygiene, exercise and routine while all the time remembering our aims and objectives.

Our 'After School' sessions are available from 1.30p.m. to 6p.m. Monday to Friday for ages 4 - 12. Children can be collected from school by our fully insured staff or can be dropped off to the center by parents/guardians. Children can take advantage of a hot meal on arrival. Homework then is supervised by our qualified staff and once completed children get to plan their own activities as a group or as individuals. Activities range from science experiments, rough and tumble play, role play, creative play, physical and outdoor activities.
Our After School services are available during school holidays with the exception of Christmas and Bank/Public holidays
