About Us

At Little Robins LTD, we provide high-quality, affordable childcare and early education for children aged 2 to 12 years in the local community. Open Monday to Friday from 7:30am to 6:00pm, we operate 50 weeks a year, excluding Bank/Public Holidays. We offer full-day care for children aged 2 to 6 years, including hot, nutritious meals, and free preschool under the ECCE (Early Childhood Care and Education) scheme. Children can attend ECCE from the eligible age until they transition to primary school, provided they are not older than 5 ½ years at the end of the preschool year. For school-aged children (4 to 12 years), we provide before- and after-school care with freshly cooked meals, age-appropriate activities, and supervised homework sessions in a warm, home-like setting. On-site parking and drop-off facilities ensure convenience for families.

Our Story So Far

Little Robins LTD is a childcare service founded by Orla Reilly in 2017. Starting as an ECCE (Early Childhood Care and Education) and after-school program, Little Robins expanded to offer full-day care in 2018. The idea for Little Robins was born out of Orla’s keen eye for opportunities while completing a business course, combined with her passion for nurturing young minds.

With over 17 years of experience in the childcare industry, Orla brings a wealth of knowledge and dedication to her work. Her journey includes two years as a children’s representative for Thomas Cook and another two years as an assistant manager before launching Little Robins.

Little Robins continues to thrive under Orla’s leadership, offering a warm and welcoming environment where children can learn, grow, and feel at home. Looking ahead, Orla’s vision is to build on the success of Little Robins and ensure it remains a trusted cornerstone of the Robinstown community for years to come.

Our Philosphy

At Little Robins LTD, our philosophy is rooted in a child-centered approach to teaching. We believe in nurturing and challenging every aspect of a child’s personality—cognitive, social, emotional, physical, spiritual, and intellectual. By fostering growth in all these areas, we aim to create meaningful learning opportunities throughout their journey with us.

Our Mission

At Little Robins LTD, we nurture and promote independence by offering stimulating, age-appropriate learning opportunities through play and exploration. We take pride in building strong partnerships with parents and families, working together to lay the foundation for each child’s growth, self-esteem, and confidence.

Our Curriculum

All of our curriculum plans are underpinned by Aistear, the National Curriculum Framework, under the quality of Síolta standards. We aim for our curriculum to improve the quality of early childhood experiences for all children who participate in our service.

Learning through play

At LittleRobins LTD we follow a play-based approach to learning. Research has shown that learning through play helps young children to learn and develop. By providing a range of play-based activities we aim to encourage children to progress at their own individual pace and progress in areas of learning and development within their communication, well-being, identity and belonging and exploring and thinking. Activities are planned around children’s emergent interests.
